36 light and airy, individually styled, prosaic bedrooms, decorated with original 1920's Art Déco or Art Nouveau furnishings, and fine prints by Almada Negreiros, varying in shape, layout and interior. Upper floor rooms facing the Rossio, some with private balcony, have spectacular views "to die for" over the large livingly square and the impressive St. George’s Castle up on the picturesque Alfama Hill.

Not being a top class chain hotel, don't expect brand new furniture, and for sure there are more comfortable beds in the world - but this is part of the charm and of this historic Lisbon experience.
